The course covers equipment use, gas switching, advanced emergency techniques and lift bag deployment. For more information, visit the TDI website.

TDI Introto Tech Course

The TDI Intro to Tech training course is a standalone course that will help you improve your recreational training as well as gain a deeper understanding of advanced technical skills. It can also be used to introduce you to TDI’s advanced courses like Advanced Nitrox and Decompression Procedures. It can also be used as a refresher course for those who have taken technical courses. TDI technical instructors can evaluate your skills during the course.

For divers who have never dived with twin cylinders or a wing, the TDI Intro to Tech course will be helpful. This course covers advanced buoyancy control as well as gas management. Students will also be able to use trim skills and situational awareness. The course can be taught at the beach or in cenotes with similar conditions as swimming pools. You will also learn advanced gas planning techniques. This course is designed for open water divers to improve their skills and introduce them to the technical equipment configurations. You will also learn advanced gas planning techniques. The course is strictly non-decompression. However, you are allowed to use enriched nitrox during the course.

This course is only suitable for highly experienced tec divers who want to extend their range and explore deeper environments. You must hold a valid diving license and pass a medical exam to become certified in trimix diving. Two 30cf stage bottles are required and a mask.

PADI Tec Deep Diver course

PADI Tec deep diver certification is for recreational divers. This certification covers four dives, including a practice of safety stops and descents. You will also learn to use technical diving equipment like a side-mounted cylinder, EANx and EANx. You'll also learn about how to plan a deep dive and manage your gas supply. You can take lessons online or offline with the PADI Tec eLearning Program.

The program can be completed in as little as two years, which is a marked improvement on the PADI courses. First, you need to be certified as a Tec 50 diver by an approved organization. The qualifying certification must cover technical deep diving, decompression dives to 50 metres, and pure oxygen diving. The Tec Deep Instructor course is also offered by the PADI Course Directors. Upon completion, the PADI Instructor Course Director will issue a Tec Deep Diver Certification.
