There are many reasons you should take Nitrox certification courses. You will be able to enjoy the thrills of enriched air through Nitrox diving. It will make you more confident in your diving. Numerous organizations offer certification programs. These courses include the NAUI Enriched Airnitrox Diver (PADI Enriched Air Diver), SSI Adventure Diver (Open Water Diver), and PADI Enriched Air Diver (PADI Enriched Air Diver).

PADI Enriched Air Diver

PADI Enriched Air Divers (EANx) certification is designed for divers who want to improve their diving experience. This course includes a home study and a brief classroom session. The EANx course includes learning about oxygen content in the scuba tank, how to use a scuba oxygen analyzer, and standard procedures for recording the percentage of oxygen in the tank.

You can prolong the time you can stay underwater with Nitrox-enriched air divers without having to make frequent stops. This is due to the lower level of nitrogen in the air, which allows for a wider safety margin. Also, enriched air mix usually has 32% or 36% oxygen. This makes them great for shallower dives.

NAUI Enriched Air Nitrox Diver

If you want to improve your diving, an enriched air diver certification will help you get there. This course teaches the basics of mixing air, the risks associated high oxygen concentrations, and how you can handle the equipment. Additionally, you will learn how to operate a diving computer and analyze the contents in your tanks. You'll also learn the Equivalent Air Depthance and how to use a standard dive table. Additionally, you will learn common blending methods for nitrogen or oxygen.

Nitrox, also known by the name Enriched Air, is a type or breathing gas that contains higher levels of oxygen than normal air. You can stay underwater for longer periods of time without having to refill your tank. This is good news for your health, as it alleviates decompression fatigue. Also, enriched air divers have shorter surface intervals.

SSI Adventure Diver

SSI is a well-respected diving organization. The SSI Adventure Diver Nitrox Certification, one of the highest ratings, is one of their most advanced ratings. You must have knowledge and experience in order to be certified. To receive this award, you must have completed at least 50 dives and four specialty courses.

The SSI Adventure Diver nitrox program is designed to teach students the knowledge and skills required to dive in restricted visibility. It teaches divers to navigate at night, to use specialized equipment, as well as how communicate with a buddy. After completing this course, they will be eligible to apply for the SSI Nitrox Specialty certification.

SSI Open Water Diver

The SSI Open Water Diver certification is internationally recognized. It includes three parts: academic, in-water pool training and multiple open-water diving. You will learn to plan and dive with enriched oxygen mixes of up to 40% oxygen during this course. This can improve your bottom time and decrease your surface intervals. Additionally, it may prevent you from getting decompression sickness.

PADI and SSI dive centers are different in the way they handle certifications. PADI certifications require you to purchase your manual. With an SSI certificate, however, your card will be issued by the dive center in which you have completed your course. PADI certification center may offer temporary cards you can use as proof that your certification is valid.
