You will be able to enhance your technical diving skills by becoming familiar with your gear. This will enable you to quickly locate it in the event of a problem. You can also practice using backup equipment. While you shouldn't dive with your backup equipment, you should practice using it when necessary. This will ensure that you have a backup set of equipment in case something goes wrong.
TDI
Technical divers must also be knowledgeable about nitrogen levels and gas blends. Technical divers need to know how to calculate the decompression stops required for a super multilevel dive.

NAUI
The NAUI technical diving skills course requires 20 hours of classroom time and emphasizes advanced diving skills and techniques. The course also covers advanced lifesaving, rescue and contingency procedures. For students to enroll in this course, they must have advanced scuba diver certification or an equivalent. You must also meet the pre-requisites and age requirements.
GUE
GUE's technical diving skills certification covers skills required to perform rescue and technical operations. These skills include the ability manage an unconscious diver underwater and to use GUE equipment in water. Open water skills such as ascent and descent are also required for scuba divers. During the course, scuba divers are also required to swim at least 500 yards (450 meters) on one breath hold, demonstrate basic equipment proficiency, and recognize their diving limits.
IANTD
The IANTD Technical Diver Program goes beyond recreational diving. It brings a whole new level in safety and comfort to the diving experience. It trains students to use the rebreathers, which have cutting edge benefits such as longer bottom time and better decompression.
DSAT
DSAT TecRec, a series of technical diving skills courses, was launched in the early 2000s. These courses consistently produce highly skilled technical divers. The training method includes the most up-to-date training materials and an integrated, logical course flow. The modules allow students to learn at their own pace.

PADI
A PADI technical diving skills training course is a great way to learn if you love diving. PADI Tec courses will teach you everything you need to know, including how to plan your dives and how to use decompression technology. You will learn to dive to depths up 50m (165ft), with little to no decompression, and how to use a desktop decompression program. There are many levels to this course. The ultimate goal is professional technical diving.
