You can earn the SSI Mermaid certificate online. This allows you to do the certification from wherever you are and whenever you wish. There are two components to the certification. One is the practical part, and one is the online portion. You can either complete the online portion from a computer or laptop. Or you can use your smartphone or tablet to take the practical section. The SSI App is available for both iOS and Android devices.
JODYPRATT
JODY PRATT is a PADI Mermaid Instructor as well as a certified SSI instructor trainer. She started her diving career at a young age and has accumulated many Specialty Instructor Ratings. She loves water and takes open water classes. JODY also holds a Technical Rescue Instructor Trainer certification.
Michelle Forsbrey
A keen surfer and swimmer, Michelle Forsbrey is passionate about the water and loves the sea. To help her rehab, she bought a mermaid tail. When she wore the mermaid tail in a local hotel swimming pool, she attracted attention from children and parents alike.
Try Mermaid Experience
You can be anything you want, from a dream to becoming a mermaid to curiousity about how it works. SSI offers a Try Mermaid adventure that allows you to swim underwater with mermaid Fins. This course is designed for beginners. It will teach swimming underwater safely, using mermaid tail fins, holding your breath underwater, and more. You'll get $15 toward your full certification after you complete the Try Mermaid course.
Rusty
Rusty was brought up in New Orleans. He grew to be a citizen of the Atchafalaya basinin. It's the largest swamp in the US, covering 22 parishes. Living in the swamp has given him a deep appreciation for the unique cajun culture. In addition to diving, Rusty enjoys cycling, underwater photography, and spending time with his family.
Niki
Niki Dawson is a successful female entrepreneur. She is also a professional instructor in scuba diving and a creative wedding coordinator. She enjoys diving in different parts of the globe. Micronesia and Australia are her favorite spots to dive. While she loves diving, Niki loves exploring every part of the world.
Evi
Evi is a mermaid performer and instructor who teaches mermaid tail swim. Her first Mermaid School opened in March 2018, and hundreds of guppies have been taught how to swim with the tail. Evi, along with Naomi, has competed in World Mermaid Championship. Her goal is to help kids enjoy the water while being reef safe.
