To become a cavern dive instructor, you must complete a scuba diver course. This course includes four scuba diver dives. Your instructor can also help you plan your dives and manage your orientation. The course will prepare you to dive in caves.
Safety
Cave diving safety protocols should follow the Rule of Threes. A cave diver must have three sources of light and at least two tanks, one of which should be independent or multi-mounted. They should also divide their gas into three separate sections to ensure that they have enough gas to survive the dive. If the dive team has experience in diving in caves, a more conservative gas management plan will be preferred. In addition to avoiding cave hazards, cave divers should practice safe diving practices.
Equipment
Cave diving requires the use of specific equipment. It is essential to have two types of safety gear. The one should be used for running guideline and the other should be used while the diver is in the cavern. Each diver should have a safety reel that has enough line to reach the cave's entry and the longest permanent line. Many manufacturers will bundle the spools with guideline at the edge when you purchase a new reel. This makes them more likely to jam. You should trim about 10 meters (30 feet) of your line before you use it to avoid jamming.
Maximum penetration
TDI offers a cavern course to scuba divers looking to dive in areas where it is not possible to reach the vertical. This includes overhangs and cavern diving. It is not mandatory to sign up for a cavern dive course. However, the course will provide the necessary skills to make the most of the environment. You will learn how safe to navigate narrow spaces that are often hidden from public view.

Maximum depth
There are certain limitations to cavern diving. Cavern diving requires that you never dive at night and that you are aware of your limits. Cavern diving requires more advanced training that other types of diving. You will need to be familiar with cave safety procedures and your limits if you are interested in diving in caverns. Before diving in caverns, you will need to have had some experience. Once you have this experience, you can start your adventure into the world cavern dive!
