Sipadan

The lure of Sipadan's reefs, a popular spot among divers in the Philippines, is too tempting for scuba divers. This area is located at the center of a coral Triangle, making it one if the most biodiverse marine habitats in the entire world. You will see turtles, sharks and lionfish in this area. With visibility ranging from 15 meters to 40 meters, you'll have no trouble exploring the underwater world around Sipadan.

Shark Reef Marine Reserve

Some of the most spectacular dives can be experienced in the shark-rich waters at the Shark Reef Marine Reserve. The marine reserve offers a unique experience as it is home to many species of fish and coral. There are over 5,000 varieties of seaweeds and mollusks. Heart Reef, a unique formation of corals and fish, is one of the best places to visit. This stunning structure is 17m in diameter and can be seen from above.

Half Moon Caye Wall

Many types of marine life can be found at this spectacular dive spot. Recent research has revealed that the wall is home to sharks who recently made it their home. Look out for sea fans and brain coral while you're at the wall. You may even spot a turtle or two. You can also explore underwater tunnels that run between coral outcrops if you feel adventurous.


Yongala

There are several options for diving the SS Yongala. Townsville is just 3 hours away via fast boat. These dives are approximately 30m deep, and are suitable for Advanced certified divers. A day trip to the SS Yongala is an option if you are able to afford it. It takes approximately three hours and includes two tanks.

Punta Vicente Roca

Scuba diving in Punta Vicente Roca is unique because the dive site is located 200 kilometers from the nearest inhabited island. You can see many sea creatures here including the Galapagos Marine Iguana, red-lipped Batfish and schooling blackstriped Salema. Photographers also have the opportunity to see the Galapagos flightless cormorants, which are endemic in this area.

Bonaire

Bonaire's diverse and beautiful diving spots will delight divers. The leeward side of the island boasts standout dive sites, including the famous 1000 Steps, which is named for the long, narrow stairway leading to its entrance. This site is a favourite with snorkellers and divers alike, with clear water and abundant schooling fish. This site is a combination of the popular Karpata dive site and offers spectacular drop-offs as well as massive coral formations.
