Bob Hollis
Bob Hollis is a pioneer in the scuba diving industry, a local legend and a member of the International Scuba Diving Hall of Fame. In the late 1950s, he began to scuba dive and became interested in underwater photography. This hobby required special equipment. Hollis' engineering degree allowed him to design his own housings for underwater camera. Hollis, a Hayward, California-based underwater camera retailer, opened Anchor Shack in 1965. Soon, he began receiving mail orders about his housings.

Oceanic
The Hollis Scuba Oceanic brand is one of the most iconic and well-known names in scuba diving. Founded by Bob Hollis in 1972, the company has become synonymous with high quality scuba equipment. The company produces rebreathers, diving computers, and novel diving masks featuring heads-up displays. The company also developed military diving equipment such as the MK-25, used by US Navy Navy frogmen and naval work divers.
Hollis scuba diving equipment
Hollis makes diving equipment that's both technologically advanced but also ergonomically designed. The company has the engineering skills to design equipment that meets the needs of both technical and sport divers. Hollis' scuba diving equipment uses cutting-edge materials made from proven technologies.
Recalled dive computers
Hollis has recalled two dive computers. One of the flaws in them can lead to drowning. The diver could lose control of their breathing underwater due to a malfunctioning air flow control. These dive computers sold for an average of $1200 between November 2010, and July 2012. For repairs, the units can be returned either to the manufacturer or to a dealer.
