Gas leak at UI Ice Arena
The University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign has issued an Illini-Alert following a gas leak at its ice arena. The building, which is located at 406 E. Armory Ave. had to be evacuated in precaution after Ameren Illinois crews noticed a gas leak. To stop further contamination, firefighters closed a sideway that leads to the arena. The leak is believed to have originated from beneath the building.
