Diver Certificate Levels

A introductory course for those who are interested in diving is a great option. Also known as a buceo (or baptism of water), this course is a great choice for those with little or no experience and those who are short on time. The course can be completed at 12 metres. However, you will need to have a qualified instructor. If you choose to continue your training, you will be able to obtain a Rescue or Advanced open-water certification.

PADI Scuba Diver

There are many PADI Scuba Diver course levels. For those who are just beginning, the introductory course is a good starting point. Once they have achieved certain levels of competence, they can move on to a higher level. PADI Scuba Diver is made up 14 modules. Each module can be broken into three sections. The course typically lasts for three days. However, it can be upgraded in as little a 1/1.5 day. This course allows you to go to 18 meters. It is the most popular in the world.

Advanced open water diver

Open water divers who have completed an Open Water Diver Course, and obtained an AOW certificate are called advanced open water divers. AOW divers are able to dive at deeper depths than the recommended 60 feet. AOW divers can also work on buoyancy or air consumption. Advanced open water divers may also be able to perform specialty dives, such as wreck diving. There are several levels of AOW certificates. Below are the differences between the levels. Read on to find out more about these different levels.

Rescue diver

There are three levels to your Rescue Diver certificate: the technical, recreational, and the dive leader. International Standards Organisations (ISO) set the standards for these levels. The levels of this training are based on BS EN 14413-2:2004 and ISO 24801-1:2004, respectively. Level-one instructors have the ability to instruct recreational divers. They can also assess their knowledge up until level one and plan and manage dives. They are also trained to teach rescue activities and lead other divers in open water.

Cave-1 class

A cave diver certification program involves a minimum of 40 hours of academic instruction and experience. Course content includes cave diving techniques and skills, standard procedures and emergency procedures, and information on the hazards and challenges of the environment. During their cave course, students are tested on their skills. There are two parts to the course: academics and water-based activities. Students are required to pass an exam and demonstrate their competence by passing a quiz. The student must also complete a cave dive manual.
